Shaun O'Donnell, Gabriela Zapata, Christina Rabolli, Carmen Cincotti

MEMBERS

Christina Rabolli, Biomedical Engineer - Mechanical Concentration - Christina is the team leader and is focusing on designing the motor system for the device. Upon graduation, she hopes to begin working in the biomedical engineering industry, ideally focusing on either tissue engineering or prosthetics. During her free time, Christina enjoys spending time with her friends and training for various races and events.

 

Carmen Cincotti, Biomedical Engineer - Mechanical Concentration -  Carmen will be focusing on the electronics portion of the project. He will be responsible for ensuring that the mechanical force is converted into an electrical signal by utilization of a microcontroller. Additionally, he will be maintaining the team's website. Carmen is also a brother of Phi Kappa Tau, where he has held many positions such as President, and VP of Alumni Relations.

 

Gabriela Zapata, Biomedical Engineer - Mechanical Concentration - Gabriela will design a model for the exoskeleton of the hand made of a 3D printable plastic. She is also responsible for creating a gaant chart illustrating the project's schedule and maintaining the budget. Gabriela is involved in the Biomedical Engineering Society as Treasurer of TCNJ's BMES chapter. Outside of engineering, Gabriela is a member of Phi Sigma Sigma where she has held positions such as Panhellenic representative and Risk Management Chair.  Her interests include traveling, reading, and music.

 

Shaun O'Donnell, Biomedical Engineer - Mechanical Concentration - Shaun will be developing the feedback and tactile stimulation methods. He is also the team's secretary, so he logs the meeting's minutes. Shaun is a member of The College of New Jersey Football Team.

Dr. Brett BuSha Ph.D.

 

Dr. Brett BuSha, Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering - Dr. BuSha is currently an associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The College of New Jersey. He received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University in 1994. He then completed his Ph.D. studies in Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey & the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1998. After which, he completed his post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Physiology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in 2001.
